Acrylic on paper, unframed
11 x 15 in.
Drawing on paper from my “In Bloom” Series, created in 2019 during a deep spell of chronic fatigue. We spend so much mental effort on how we’re building ourselves, setting goals, making plans and following structures placed by/for us. “In Bloom” celebrates the simplicities of timing: bloom happens only when nature decides. Bloom cannot be planned nor controlled; all one can do is be open to it and observe its graceful timing with appreciation. This series of paintings presents a floral color palette of airy, minimal paintings on paper that aim to inspire similar detachment of control to breath, movement, and overall positive outlooks on daily life.
This is an original painting on paper, not a reproduced print. There is only one of each.

My conservation recommendation for artworks on paper is to frame artwork in museum glass, or at least glass that provides UV protection - especially if artwork is displayed somewhere where it is exposed to sun rays for long periods of time. The idea humidity to store artwork is 40-50% with a temperature between 70-75 degrees Fahrenheit (21-24 degrees Celsius). Severe climates can cause paper warping, yellowing of paper, and mold growth. If artwork is kept unframed in storage it should be rolled, or completely flat, but never folded.
